Al and Tipper Gore Get Divorced
As most of you may have heard by now, the former Vice-President and I guess the former Vice-First Lady? I hope thats correct. Ok I’ll just say Al and Tipper Gore to make it easier for myself. Anyway after 40 years they decide to call it quits. Now I believe marital business is private and it should remain that way. I will try to not speculate on why they are getting divorced. The public statement says they grew part. Whether thats true or not, I don’t really care.
But the reason that this intrigues me, is in a lot of peoples eyes, Al Gore is the man. Whether you think Global Warming is real or a hoax, the general consensus on Al Gore is that he is a tad bland but probably a nice guy. Nevertheless, after 40 years of being with the same person, they decided to part company.
Without wondering what happened, its kind of hard not to. I know others in the media will be quick to jump on their verizon blackberry phones or whatever and begin to try to grasp and dig and see what happened behind the scenes. I guess this story is news for me, because it is another blow to marriage.
Again I know people have their reasons for getting a divorce, and I respect that privacy. But despite me personally thinking Global Warming is a crock and a sham, I do genuinely feel bad for the Gore’s. But am I to feel bad for them if they are happier this way? Food for thought.
Facebook and Patrick Ewing Day?
You got to love Social Networking Sites. As I’ve mentioned before when I’m reading sites from around the world, sometimes I like to report on what I find here at superblogsunlimited.com. Well it never ceases to amaze me what type of interesting things are drummed up on these social networking sites. Kind of like when females were posting their bra colors for breast cancer awareness in January, eventhough breast cancer awareness month is in October….
Nevertheless, you can’t be to aware about breast cancer so thats cool. However while I was on Hubpages, I was reading about what maybe the next big thing to be born on facebook. Thats right ladies and gentleman, I’m talking about Patrick Ewing Day. Now love or hate the guy, I find it horribly amusing that someone would go through all this trouble to make Patrick Ewing an icon. Don’t know what I’m talking about? So folks, I’m down for anything that will get me out of work. Whether its Patrick Ewing Day, groundhog day, or festivus, I’ll support it. Indeed, next Wednesday is Patrick Ewing Day. I wonder if I need to stock up on my adult beverages early?
