Don’t Buy Mass Effect 2
Thats right, don’t buy Mass Effect 2 unless you have a high definition television. Apparently if you have a standard definition T.V. then you will have trouble reading the squished, teeny text that is crucial to having success with the game. Now I’m not saying not to buy Mass Effect 2 because of that alone. Oh no no no, what really got this bloggers goat was that those A-Holes as of now say they aren’t releasing an update to correct the problem. Despite that roughly 55% of tv users still having standard definition.
Those douches at Bioware say they will take the issue into account for Mass Effect 3. Give me a flipping break Bioware! You have the arrogance to assume that the people won’t revolt against you and buy your elitist game! Well maybe calling it Elitist is a stretch, but how hard would’ve of been to just issue a patch? My guess is not hard at all. Did you guys know that the Nintendo Wii makes its games for on Standard Definition TVs?
Now I have to disclose that I have not played Mass Effect 2 on a SD TV, however, the internet is on fire about this right now and I’m sure there are countless pissed off games who haven’t yet flooded the message boards of Bioware’s website. I’m tempted to complain myself on there, however it would be unethical since I haven’t directly experienced the problem. But I suggest those guys, if they want to have a future in the video game industry, they may want to consider doing a better job at market research. And not only that, but the customer is always right, so they need to make this right. Right now.
President Hollywood Obama Calls Kanye West Jackass
I said this to some friends of mine and I will say it here. The only thing that surprised me about Kanye West is that he still gets invited to award shows. I mean there he is boozing it up with his girlfriend Amber Rose with a bottle of Hennesy in his hand no less. 
Did anyone not see
this as a potential disaster in the making? Of course hindsight for is and will forever be 20/20, however sometimes you can see the accident coming from miles away. Add that to the fact that the celebrities seem to had free reign to come and go as they pleased amongst one another. Case in point, young female rapper LiL Mama hopped on stage with Jay-Z and Alicia Keys as they performed “Empire State of Mind” during MTV’s Video Music Awards (VMA’s for short). Her awkward and untimely, uninvited arrival onstage foreshadows how bizarrre this night would end up.
So anyway, I’m not even going to talk about Lady Gaga. But by now, you’ve all heard the gruesome story if you didn’t witness it live. Here comes little 19 year old Taylor Swift to come out an accept her aword for having the album of the year. She gets the microphone in her hand. She begins to speak, and out of nowhere, like The Batman, Kanye Dr. Hennesy West appears out of the vapor on stage and gently eases the mic out of Taylors hand.
Oh gosh, I can’t make this stuff up. Then he goes on to say basically that Beyonce had the greatest video ever conceived and Taylor was more or less the beneficiary of Mrs Beyonce Carter being screwed out of what was rightfully hers.
So as you know, the media turned Kanye into hamburger meat. And deservedly so. However, President Barack Hollywood Obama, wouldn’t be without an opinion on the subject. He actually was caught on audio calling Kanye West a jackass. Of course in the twitter and facebook age, it was only a matter of time before everyone from hub page authors, to nail tech, grocer store operators, even blogs about cell phones wholesalers were talking and had an opinion.
That was the strongest decisive opinion that I’ve heard come from President Hollywood Obama. Of course the irony of this is that at the same time there is a South Carolina congressman by the name of Joe Wilson who is on the verge of being tarred and feathered for being unlucky enough to get caught yelling at the President solo. Now Obama is a politician from the tough political town of Chicago, so he probably was more annoyed than offended. But some democrats in the house can’t let it go.
So I will be the one to ask the question. Does the President owe Kanye West and apology? I say no. However there are some House Democrats who would rather discuss if they can punish Joe Wilson because he won’t beg for forgiveness before the Congress for disrespecting the dignity of the Office of the President or whatever the charge is, shouldn’t the President apologize to Kanye for what though maybe true, some consider beneath the dignity of the Office of the President? You decide.
